Steven Soderburg's Blog

This is a link to an interesting page on director Steven Soderberg's Blog.  He has posted Raiders of the Lost Ark as a b/w silent film.  The reason is that it helps us to concentrate on what he calls the 'staging'.  By this he seems to mean cinematography. editing, mis-en-scene.

I suggest you watch he first 5 - 10 minutes and really try to appreciate Steven Spielberg's filmmaking technique.
